    Default Expungement In Texas

Ok after reading all the links, some make sense so i was wondering if you all could clear something up for me. I have a Charge Class A misdemeanor "Assault" and I pleaded Guilty "The DA made it sound like it was no big thing", but little did i know it was going to haunt me BIG Time, I graduate from College in May 2008, and I have applied for my First IT Job for Time Warner which they did a back ground check and low and behold No DICE !!!! So, with my question the assult took place in 2005 and the Judgment took place in Feb 2007. 1st question can i get it Expunged ? or Sealed? and if so how long do i have to wait?
2nd question Should i set up a meeting with the judge, and ask her, or will i just make matters worse or can I do that? just want to see if i can talk to her about my options?

I have talked with several lawyers here in Corpus Christi Tx, and some say wait 3 yrs and try to seal it,but mostly all of them say they can't help me?

    Is that true?

This conviction is in the databases of private background companies and you can never get rid of it.

There are dozens of threads in this forum discussing Texas laws for expungement and the sealing of records.

You don't indicate that your conviction was deferred. In Texas you can only qualify for an order of nondisclosure following a deferral. If you were convicted you would have to get a pardon before you are eligible for additional relief (a pardon would make you eligible to seek an expunction).

You can't simply have a private meeting with a judge and ask for your sentence to be set aside. That's not proper procedure.
