Default Got A Summons From Chase Bank In Florida
Hi, I recieved a summons from Chase bank on an account that was being managed by my debt management company. The payments were never late and always on time.
I called Chase and they said that I had to make payments directly through them. I received an official looking document in the mail from them saying that I had to sign and return the Settlement Agreement that they had enclosed.
It was printed by their legal department. I don't understand why all of this happened since I thought debt management was a good thing.
Should I sign this document? They said if they didn't get the document back in 14 days that they would proceed with a judgement.
Why? I was paying on time.

Apparently your debt management company did not settle the debt with Chase, but instead (perhaps - we don't have the facts) sent them monthly payments different from what Chase expected you to pay. Discuss these events with your debt management company.
