Default Father's Name On Birth Certificate In Alabama
My daughter is pregnant with twins. As soon as her husband found out she was pregnant, he took off, is living with another woman and has done nothing to provide support for their son that they already have together. My daughter is going to give the twins her maiden name, which she still legally uses, but does she have to name the father on the birth certificate? He will not be present at the birth. He won't be around to even sign the birth certificates. Does she have to put his name on the birth certificate?
Thanks!

the shortest answer-YES!
When a married couple has a child, the law automatically recognizes the husband as the father.
