Child Support Enforcement

My ex and I were never married, and have a 10 month old son. Well my ex has not seen nor contacted me since my son was 1 month old. I have been to court 3 times now (my ex never showing up), I have received sole custody, visitation, and child support orders. My child support case has now been turned over to the attorney general of texas. My ex is working with his family and they are paying him under the table to keep him from having his cs coming out of his paycheck. I have informed the attorney general and they have sent collection letters and everything. He has now moved to keep me from finding him. How can I get an enforcement of child support if I do not know where he is. I am really tired of him being a dead beat father. If I can't enforce his cs payments I would like to know if I can relinquish his rights as a father. Please Help!!!!!!

If he continues to work for his family, it should be possible to have him served with legal process at work. Try initiating contempt proceedings.

A judge would typically be reluctant to do that unless there's somebody else available to step into the role of father (i.e., within the context of a step-parent adoption). You should discuss this possibility with a local family lawyer to get a sense of the philosophy of the judge who is handling your case, and to learn your rights under Texas law.
