The effects of having sex too young can be very negative as my own story tells. Mimizing the crime, making light of it or, even justifying it are repulsive. This is a very serious crime regardless of the gender of the victim (yes hes a victim). I am very confident if this post had bveen about a 24 year old male teacher and buxom 14 year old girl you would mostly all be calling for his castration. This is not an never was about
. a drunk minor
. a drunk adult
. minor left unsupervised
. minor looking adult
. or any number of reasons justifications or excuses listed to escape blame or minimize it. The 24 year old school teacher knew what she was doing and has comitted rape. That is her fault not the minors! The other issues and not th eissue of the thread and may well be being dealt with. Thsi is not a funny or humorous matter. This is not about mistakes or drunken behavior its about rape possibly pedophilia.

Now you're the one assuming. But see that's a whole 'nother subject. So you think that just because I said that he most likely consented, that I wouldn't care about the effect it's had on him? You are a very judgmental person.

Once again I did not minimize the crime. I only commented on a few details about the case. Cases like this are gigantic in all the angles they have. Therefore I have made myself clear about a few parts of the case, not the whole thing.

It would be stupid of me to have an opinion on the case as a whole, because I nor you know everything about it.

5-14-102. In general.

(a) The definition of an offense that excludes conduct with a spouse shall not be construed to preclude accomplice liability of a spouse.
(b) When the criminality of conduct depends on a child's being below the age of fourteen (14) years and the actor is twenty (20) years of age or older, it is no defense that the actor did not know the age of the child or reasonably believed the child to be fourteen (14) years of age or older.

(c)(1) When criminality of conduct depends on a child's being below the age of fourteen (14) years and the actor is under the age of twenty (20) years, it is an affirmative defense that the actor reasonably believed the child to be of the critical age or above.

(2) The actor may be guilty, however, of the lesser offense defined by the age that he or she reasonably believed the child to be.

(d)(1) When criminality of conduct depends on a child's being below a critical age older than fourteen (14) years, it is an affirmative defense that the actor reasonably believed the child to be of the critical age or above.

I would hope everyone would care about the victims in these types of crimes. If you have given that a thought, it didn't show in your comments.

... and yes, certain subjects, I can be quite judgmental.

Perhaps that is why the ones that find some comments disturbing are the ones that have children.

Alright, you don't believe your comments make you appear that you were minimizing the crime. You haven't been able to convice me otherwise.

No one asked you to have an opinion on the case as a whole, but it is not difficult to have an opinion on the facts that were presented.
