Prenuptial Agreement And Future Inheritance

Hello,

Is it possible to draw up a prenupt based on future inheritance. I will be getting a considerable amount of property and money when my granfather passes away. My boyfriend has been discussing marriage lately and should this happen and not work out. Is there a way I can protect future inheritance, even if it should happen during the marriage and not prior to getting married. Right now, i don't really have any great assets at all to speak of. I understand that all state laws are different. i just want a general idea.

A prenupt is not necessary for an inheritance. It will be your separate property as long as you keep it separate. That means do not use it to buy a marital home or pay the mortgage.
