Can a SSDI check be garnished for child support arrearage? If so, is there a maximum percentage that can be taken? This is in Kentucky and the children are all adults, married and not in college.

Yes, SSDI can be garnished. I believe that that max allowed is on the SSA website. www.ssa.gov

I have found where 15% is the maximum of disposable income for Administrative Wage Garnishments? Is SSDI considered a wage? My attorney does not seem to know, either. He says that it is either 25% or 65%, that he is not certain. I have read and read over the SSA.gov website and must be just missing it. I appreciate your trying to help me. It does not seem that anyone else is..
