Default How Do I Respond To A Summons And Complaint
I am being sued by hsbc for $1500.00 on a $500 limit credit card. I recieved my summons and complaint on monday. I have 21 days to respond. What do I put in the letter? I am open to making payments, do i work that out with the attorneys first and send the letter after? I live in michigan and the card was opened in 2004 and closed in 2005. Thanks for any advise anyone can offer.

Your summons should explain how to respond to the complaint.

Generally, you state whether you agree or disagree with each statement made in the complaint, and if you disagree, why.

You need to be sure you answer the summons in the time limit allowed or they will get a default judgment against you.
