Default Father Naming The Baby At Birth
Im married and 6 months pregnant. The father and I have been having problems and plan to get a divorce after the baby is born. I'm hopeing he will be present during the birth of his son but am not sure.
I was just wondering if he had the right to name the baby on the birth certificate if I wasn't agreeing with the name? Now, I def. want to use the father's surname but we never came to an agreement on the baby's first and middle name. Would there be a possibility that he could name him without my consent?

Thanks!

You didn't identify your state, but I doubt that he could successfully submit an application for a birth certificate that lacked your signature.
