Default Employer is Violating DOT Regulations

First off, great website hopefully I will be able to get some help on my topic.
I currently have been a over-the-road truck driver for 12 years. This past week I was in an accident involving a truck. While at home with my wife and kids, we started talking about suing the company I work for because I had thought that I could possibly loose my job. Also I do not drive legal according to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations so that I can make as much money as possible for my family to live on. I do know that this is wrong and against the law but, if I don't I feel that the loads that I get from the dispatcher that pay well will not be as good as those that I would receive if I where driving according to DOT regulations.
Also because of this accident I was worried that if I would get a ticket for the accident (which I have not gotten yet) that I could loose everything do to being sued.
I know that my company does not worry about my hours driving because the more hours I drive the more money the company makes. Any information or thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.

Default Re: Do I Have Grounds For A Lawsuit?

I don't understand why you want to sue your employer.

For what reason do you want to sue?
