I have been with my ins. co in NC for 12 years. I was recently married and the name change prompted the ins.co to inquire about my husbands license number. He has his own policy (even though his license is revoked) and I have my own. I told the ins. co. that he was to be excluded from my policy because he doesn't drive my vehicle. Well now they want to drop my collision and send me to the reinsurance facility where I will only have liability. I personally have a spotless driving record and I do not think I should have to pay out of this world premiums for a driving violation that I did not commit. What are my options?? The DUI was before we were ever married, by the way, and my insurance company does not offer exclusionary clauses.
