Default Fingerprinting For Accusation Of Theft

I was recently accused of theft and was told that I had to give my fingerprints to the loss prevention officer. As far as I know no other employees have been accused or had to give fingerprints. I feel that my rights have been violated, is there anything that I can do about this.

    I work in Tennessee.
Should I contact my local EEOC office or just contact a lawyer?

I actually have no doubt that they will find that I am innocent. However, I was more concerned about them violating my rights by taking fingerprints and what legal action I can take against them if any at all.

Do you think that legal action against my employer is possible in the case that they took fingerprints with no authorities present?

You consented to the printing. However it is odd and you might discuss what options you might have
