Default Order Granting Referral To Mediation

    Florida

I received an Order Granting Plaintiff's Motion for Order of Referral to Mediation in 5 Days on a Case I have never been summoned for. It says 'Ordered and Adjudged'. And the time, court house and date. What the heck does this mean??? I guess i need to call the law office tomorrow 'Marcadis and Assoc.' and get the details. This on top of another suit coming up next month. Any help appreciated, I have no money and no job. Do I have to appear, if I do what do I say or do???

Court orders frequently include language like "Ordered and Adjudged" - language which reflects the fact that the court has ordered something. The date, time and location of the court's issuance of the order are also typically recited on a court order.

When you are ordered to appear in court, you are supposed to appear in court. I can't know without reading the order if it requires your appearance at the mediation or is merely offering you the opportunity to appear and defend. It's a reasonably safe bet that if you don't show up, the mediator will give the plaintiff everything it has requested.

My family has hired a credit card attorney to handle both my cases. ironically both are from the same law firm. They are trying to double whammy on me.
