Unhappy How Do I Remove Father's Name From a Birth Certificate
I have the similar situation... I would like to obtain a passport for my son and his father wants no part of his life, he refuses to sign the release, what is the best way to remove him from the birth certificate. I have always had full custody, not legally but it has been established through Child Support Services.

Default Re: How Do I Remove Father's Name From a Birth Certificate
Step-parent adoption.

The birth certificate is supposed to reflect the name of the child's biological parents. You don't get to remove a father just because you don't like him any more.
