Considering that you did not post your state, and since state law determines this, we don't know.
That would need to be discussed with your attorney, as cbg points out about state laws. IF your state is a 2 party state that requires consent from both parties to record, it may not be admissable under the Rules of Evidence in court, then again it may?? If you live in a 1 party state, most undoubtedly it will be admissable.
The trick is though, even if not admissable, for the sake of argument, say a complaint is filed, then there will be an Answer filed. This is the defendant's paper that denies or affirms the allegations in the complaint. Once a "lie" is told and you can show/prove it indeed is a lie, then your attorney can look into criminal perjury charges.
Your attorney will know. If admissable and inculpatory to the harasser, it sound like a very strong case.
The state is florida, is it admissable in my state?
Florida is an all party state.
See Florida statute 934.03.
Agree, Fl. is a "two-party" consent state - both parties' consent is needed to audio record.
Your friend needs to talk to her attorney as to how to proceed.
Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.
What was the sexual harassment to which the boss admitted? Did your friend inform the boss she wasn't "giving him more?" What action has her boss taken as a result?
