Question Will a Public Intoxication Charge Still Be On My Record

In 2004 I was taken by the police for a public intoxication. I was 20 years old. I was not fingerprinted and I did not have to stay at the station overnight. I was given a ticket with a date for a court appearance. I went to court and went before a judge. He gave me a fine to pay, had to go to an AA meeting, and I had 3 months probation where I had to pay so much money each month. I have been employed and had a criminal background check done, i have applied for a registered nurse license in two states. I am not sure however if the misdemeaner is still on my record. I no longer live in the state I was convicted in. I am needing to apply for a new nursing license and this state is asking if I have ever been convicted of a misdemeaner not including traffic violations. If i have been i have to have official court records i believe and send them in and report what happened. If i haven't been it will be much easier not to report it. I am unsure if I have anything on my record. It has been 4 years since my PI and I have had no other convictions or arrests before or since then. Is it possible it was exponged from my record??

What state were you convicted in?

I believe you are permitted to request a copy of your criminal record in most states, typically at the district court. Depending on the locale, there may be a fee.

What states are you trying to get your RN license in?
This may not prevent you from getting your license whether it's on your record or not. Each state operates differently. Did you hold the license in any state currently or are you a new applicant for license?
