Unhappy Hurt Back And Confused About Workers Comp In Ohio
I'm 26 and work part time at my moms work with her just helping out around the office. They were doing remodeling and had me lift very heavy metal file holders off of the wall and carry them down a hallway. I did this about 6 times and my back went numb and the next couple days it got worse. I went to the doctor and a workmans comp thing has been filed and I've been going to a chiropractor. The muscle I tore is feeling better but my back is still in really bad shape. (I have scoliosis to begin with and an old compression fracture of my vertebrea). The doctor is telling me I will be "100%" in a few more days, but it has been a month already and it still hurts all the time. I have not been able to work or find another job (I only work there a few times a month) since this happened. I dont know what to do, I have never filed a workmans comp before and I dont want to get screwed over. Any advice is needed.

The folks over here are mostly injured workers dealing with Worker's Comp. There's even a forum devoted to Ohio.
