Default Verbal Agreement to Share a Car
Me and a friend had a verbal agreement that we would both pay for a car and unfortunately he was not able to get put on the contract. And now that we are no longer friends, he told me that I have to deal with it. Is there something I can do? The car dealership ran his credit report, would I be able to use that to show that we both were going to pay for the car, as it shows as an inquiry on his credit report? Or is there anything else I can do?

Please help, as I am a single mom and can not afford to pay for two cars.

Thank you,

B

I'm not sure what you are asking - are you are the sole payor on the loan, with the car titled in your name? Or what? Who has the car?

Default Verbal contracts
The car is in my name and I do have the car. But would not of bought it as I dont need two cars. The car was bought for him and since he could not get it into his name, he told me it was my problem to deal with now. Also there are a few other items that we both agreed to get and pay for together. Then he has decided not to.

Is there anything I can do??

Sell the car, and sue him in small claims court for any loss?

How do I prove it?

I have pics of him there with me, they ran his credit report to see if they could put him on it.

all his friends and my friends knew that it was both of ours.

I just dont know how to prove it, given that he will lie in court.
