Criminal Defense Lawyer Is Not Doing His Job

My wife was charged with a retail fraud 2nd degree when she forgot to pay for some items while talking to me on phone. She was pregnant and was going thru mood swings when this thing happened at a Sears store in oakland county michigan.

We hired a criminal lawyer who promised us that he will have the case dismissed but now he got a deal which is very bad. ( Conviction for Retail Fraud 3rd degree). He is not receiving our calls and even missed our second pretrial.

She will soon be applying a job which will require a FBI clearance, and this conviction will bring her career to stand still. She is very depressed and I am worried about her health.

I was wondering if anyone on this forum can suggest me a good criminal lawyer in oakland county, michigan, who can work for our best interest rather than make false promises.
