I am out on a workmn's comp. case in NJ. My checks are mailed to my employer instead of directly to me. My employer then opens the envelope containing my check, puts it into another envelope and, after several weeks, mails my check to me. Why does my employer get my checks before I do? Why do they need to see these checks at all? Can I have my checks sent directly to my address?
