Question Husband Is Not My Daughter's Biological Father, What Are His Iowa Rights
My husband and I were sepearated for a couple of months, and I got pregnant from another man. My husband and I are back together, and he knows he's not the father of the baby. What are his rights, under Iowa law? Can he be on the birth certifiicate?

In most states unless otherwise specified the husband is the presumed Father

According to this article, "In Iowa a husband is presumed to be the father of any child born in wedlock" and "a child is presumed to be legitimate if the male and female are married at the time of delivery. The gist of this statute is that the husband is presumed to be the father of any child born in wedlock, unless it can be proved otherwise."

Do you believe the biological father may try to get custody or visitation rights?
