I have had three back injuries and now am totally disabled . the ins. carrier stopped paying ttd and now I have to wait for a settlement. I have no money coming in and am wondering what a person is to do in this situation. I have applied for a second injury fund per my lawyers request but I am still getting no money from that. what kind of a system is this I have had no income for three months now and am still waiting on s.s. and second injury fund. shouldn't wc carrier be paying me something for the time being. I'm broke please help

I suggest you inquire with your lawyer about the possibility of a hardship hearing. I am not sure if such hearings are permitted under New Jersey law, but they can expedite payment in states where they are permitted.

Thank you for your advice but I was wondering what type of benefits I would be entitiled to. everywhere i read about second injury fund and total disability benefits they say that these benefits should commence as soon as i reach mmi. They should be approximately 70 percent and I was wondering what the procedure is , am i suppose to be getting this now and my lawyer just isn't handling things properly, or is it something that is going to have to go before a judge and wait another three months on top of the three months i have also waited with no money coming in. what is normal in my situation does everyone else have to go thru the same garbage or is there something i am doing wrong?[/i]
