What Is Needed For Tax Returns And Child Support

I and my husband have been married for a couple of years but last year he had an old lover from like when he was 18 come forward with a child that did turn out to be his. But taxes is rolling around and I don't know if there is a specific paper or form that we need in order to file our tax return since this will have been our first year that he had to pay child support. Also he has not been able to find work so w2's won't help. Please help.

No, I don't mean we are receiving anything but I don't know if there is a form for her to get any of our tax money that we need to have or something.

I'm not sure what you're asking, but....
There are no forms of any kind for child support, when it comes to tax time.
You won't get anything from anywhere saying how much you paid in child support for the year, to use for taxes.
The person receiving child support won't get any forms for her taxes, regarding child support.
Unless there is a stipulation in a divorce decree, saying you have to exchange tax forms with the 2 parents, then you don't need to give her anything.
There isn't any reason for her to need any form, to get your tax money.
The ONLY form you may need, is an 8332OL. But that's only used if the custodial parent is going to let the father claim the child as an exemption.

I think what the OP is trying to ask is if there is a way to stop the IRS from attaching the refund for back support. (I think)... OP you aren't really getting your point across clearly, however, the IRS will attach refunds due to NCP's who are in arrears. You may be entitled to file innocent spouse, but until you tell us what you are wanting, it's impossible to figure out what to tell you.
