Default House Purchased Illegally In My Name
I recently had someone commit fraud by purchasing a home under my name without my consent in the state of Florida. I have already contacted the mortgage company and the authorities to file charges. The mortgage company completed an investigation and cleared my name because they determined it was a case of identity theft. What I wanted to know now is can I press charges or sue the people/title company/broker that purchased the house without my knowledge? And if so what type of lawyer would I need to contact to do so?

If you have already contacted the authorities to file charges, they will decide what charges to pursue (if any).

What damages (economic harm) have you suffered?

I think it would be fun to pursue a writ of possession and go get the house and sell it.

But that's just me.
