Selling A Vehicle During Chapter 13 Bankrupcty

I filed bankruptcy in april 2007 and according to my claim summary all of my unsecured claims will be paid at 100%. I only have on secured claim which is a truck that will be paid $9,000 over next 4 years. If I decide to sell the truck to an individual for the payoff amount can I do that while in a chapter 13?

Chances are you can do this, HOWEVER you need to get permission from the Court and Trustee to sell any property. You need to speak with your attorney about this and he/she can make the appropriate motion in your case. Selling it without permission could cause big problems in your case, or even dismissal, so call your attorney.
