Default Changing my child's name
my son wants my husband to adopt him and change his name, he never met his biological father. We came from a foreign country and my husband is an American citizen. Don't know what to do.

Default Step-Parent Adoption
You could try to commence step-parent adoption proceedings. It is possible that the nation in which the father resides won't recognize the validity of the adoption, so you may need to watch out for complications if you later visit. Given the circumstances, you may wish to consult a family lawyer to help with the adoption process.
