Default How To Deal With Collection Agency Harassment
I have a bank debt from over a year old. It not longer belongs to bank, and has been sold to a collection agnt. What im wondering, when are they pushing the line?

I get calls from early as 8am to 10pm. On average, i get about 4 to 7 calls a day. I plan on paying when i have some extra funds. I have been working the last 3 months on clearing my credit report up. They dont understand that, iv already spent around 3k cleaning up old stuff on my report and that i dont have extra money to shell on this as well now too.

Talking to them obviously does not work, what else can i do to stop feel like im being harassed by phone calls.

You can send the CA a cease and desist order.

Certified Mail return receipt (Keep the green card on file)

I keep a file on each debt collector that contacts because they usually pass the account on to a different one.

You can ask for validation and put the "contact by US Mail" notice in it.

You will have to establish a record of them violating the order and they can be liable for statutory damages.
