Default Re: Back Surgery
In many states, where surgery is expected to render an injured worker fit for work, refusal to undergo surgery can jeopardize your wage loss benefits. But don't fret that yet - right now, focus on your nonsurgical alternatives, and even if you meet the surgeon don't hesitate to discuss nonsurgical options. Meeting with a surgeon does not automatically mean that you are a good candidate for surgery, or that the surgeon will not discuss other options.
