hello everyone l have l4 l5 herniated disc had 1 epidural shot going for 2nd on thurs.doc said if 2nd does not work will have to see surgeon. 1st shot did nothing.if they say i need surgery do i have to have it i'am a little leary
of having back surgery heard a lot of negative things from people that had back surgery. does workers comp mack it mandatory to do so. thanks for any info

But don't fret that yet - right now, focus on your nonsurgical alternatives, and even if you meet the surgeon don't hesitate to discuss nonsurgical options. Meeting with a surgeon does not automatically mean that you are a good candidate for surgery, or that the surgeon will not discuss other options.
