Property Left Behind

We are in Texas.

My mother was cohabitating with a man in the home she owns. They lived together for years. Neither claims common law marriage. He recently left on bad terms. His family came and took a few day to day items: Medications, clothing, etc. He has many other large, some expensive items. My mother is unable to move the items or afford to hire someone to move them for her and doesn't know where he is. They have not spoken and she is not getting a response from his family. She is wanting to lease her home and move out asap. She lays no claim to the items but they are holding up her plans. She would like to send a notice to remove the items within 30 days retroactive to the date he left. What laws apply to these items?
