Default False Identity Charges
So this is a long story - I will try to sum it up as quickly as possible without leaving out any details.....

About a year ago, I needed to obtain a lawyer... I was referred to a man, whom upon first sight, I was VERY attracted to. Although being married, I knew I could not act upon it.... So on a whim one day, I made a fake email address and thought "hey I could email him, try to convince him we met at a bar and see where it goes, without ever revealing my true identity..." So with my fake email address and fake name, I emailed him, convincing him that we met, and he must have just forgotten me somehow. Well email exchanges eventually turned into phone calls, which eventually turned into phone sex, picture exchanging (no faces in the pics - so as not to reveal it was really me - his past client)... Anyways, he is constantly asking me to meet him in person - I want to meet him, but I am scared, that through my deceptive way of getting him to talk to me socially, I have broken some sort of law. He seems really into me, cause even though he doesn't really know it IS me, I never lied about anything during our months of phone calls, so he is obviously has an attraction to me.

Anyways, I just need to know if in what I did, I was breaking any laws....

Thanks.

By the way, I live in Oregon.

Legally it's doubtful. Morally just ask God.

Would revealing to him who I am have any legal ramifications at this point? Or would it just be embarressment that I need to fear?

Well... embarrassment and the possible destruction of your marriage.

And, possibly, the illegal production and distribution of pornography depending on the clothing worn in the pics.

Wouldn't that be a matter of both parties having dirty hands as I understand that he exchanged photos with her as well.

Lol, oh the ex-husband doesn't mind he is busy setting up a website of his ex-wife and her lawyer-lover's pictures and charging people to view them.

I wonder if the lawyer has a wife?

No he doesn't have a wife. I really have strong feelings for him & my marriage has been dwindling for some time... Do I reveal myself to him? What is the worst that could happen? I am sure he will be embarressed too, since the phone sex, etc, was mutual....

This isn't an advice to the lovelorn forum. Write Dear Abby for that. Personally I am of the opinion that you seek a divorce and then afterwards if you still feel the need tell the lawyer-lover who you are. The very worse that could happen is you may marry him. I'm anti-marriage due to my own nightmare of a union so ignore my negative comments on the issue of marriage.
