Default Uninsured Minor Hit Son's Car At School

1st day back to school and my son's car was hit by an uninsured motorist. My son has only liability on his car so no help from our insurance company.

We live in Wisconsin, what is our next step?
What are we legally entitled to? No one was injured.

It was a hit-and-run that was tracked down by the police and we expect the damage to be at around $3,000.

You can sue the at-fault driver, or see if you can get restitution through the criminal case.

If you sue the at-fault driver, you can sue up to $5,000 in small claims court in Wi.
Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.
