Not Notified of Wage Change in British Columbia

Hey everyone. I was originally payed $7.00 per hour as a base rate where I work, plus a commission of 2% of all my sales. It has come to my attention that each paycheck I've received for the past couple months or so has coincidentally been payed at the same hourly rate of $9.50 per hour. Some other employees then told me that the rate had been changed from commission to a solid rate. Since I usualy made around $10.50 per hour on commission, I was naturally pissed off. I was wonderingwhat the legality issues were concerning a waeg change without any effort to notify the employee. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

In the US the answer to your question would be state specific. While most states require an employee to be notified in advance of a wage decrease, not all states do, and Federal law does not.
