    Default Old warrants

A friend of mine was recently arrested on a traffic violation. Instead he was arrested on the old (0ver 15-years old) warrant, which at the time had a $250,000 bail. Now there is a $150,000 bail amount. The stalking charge is a felony. He is already a 2-timer. Will this make it his 3rd?

    Default Old Warrant

It may well be that he would be subject to enhanced sentencing on the basis that this is his third offense. To answer definitively, I think it would be helpful to know his actual record, the dates of his priors, the facts and circumstances of the offense, and why it took fifteen years for this matter to result in an arrest. He should consult a California criminal defense lawyer or, if he can't afford one, petition for an appointed lawyer.

    Default Re: old warrant

I am not really sure of the circumstances. He's in IRC over the weekend. His last jail term was for embezzlement or money laundering. He spent 3 1/2 years in jail. And was on probation for 3 years, of which he just completed this past August.

His business was just doing great: does credit repair

Hopefully I will see him Monday and get all the details. I know that stalking is a very serious charge. And something as serious as that does not 'go away.' Thank you for responding.
