    Default Grandfathers Death Verbal Contract

My grandfather and i made a verbal agreement him telling me before he became ill that if i came to take care of him he would leave me x amount of dollars he has a will nameing only his wife because he never had time to redo the doc before his passing now my grandmother his wife placed my uncle her sons name on his account while he was on hospice care and changed thing and he had no idea it was done he had told her he had promised me money and items in return for around the clock care he was on hospice but they only provided meds and supplys for his care and a nurse to call if needed i spent many days with little or no sleep and now my grandmother who had no feelings for the man whatsoever tells me that all of his funds has been spent and i happen to know that thats not true that she used her PA over him to give/transfer craim of the funds at his time of death to my uncle My question is do i bill his estate for the care or do i take it to court

    Default Promissory Estoppel

You may have a promissory estoppel claim for the promised money. You should consult a local lawyer who handles probate litigation.

    Default Thanks

Thanks i hate to be thinking like this it was never about money I wanted to be here but i did spend the last year tending to him hardly ever leaveing the house and the past 4 months provideing t least 80% of his in home care while it wasnt about the money the promise made was something i was counting on to make up for at least some missed work and a couple things to remember him by my uncle didn't even come by the house when he was dieing untill after he was informed of his passing that makes it even harder not to mention the fact my grandfather had already gave him 5k in cash to start a small business 3 years ago and the two have never been close and that my grandmother has gave him 68k of their money this year alone i feel he has gotten enough and did nothing to deserve what was promised to me as pay Thanks for listening to my rant im still a little upset as this is very fresh he just died day before yesterday and the heartless people had to tell me this the day of his passing ..
