Default Failure To Appear For Re-Sentencing In Illinois For Battery
I had a court date for the 14th for re-sentencing on my battery charge. I had it written on my calender to appear the 7th. I went there on the 7th told I did have a court date and to recheck with the Clerk of Courts and they gave me a slip for Feb 8.

I have just got a letter in the mail today from my lawyers office that there is a bench warrant out for $5,000 and to contact him. I did but the office is closed till after the holiday. Left message because he said he would check on them.

I plan on turning myself in but wanted to speak to my lawyer. What am I looking at happening. Also are they going to just show up over the next couple of say and arrest me. I would like to just go in ang get it resolve but would like to talk to my lawyer 1st. I know I messed up and it my fault. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

What do you mean by "they gave me a slip for Feb 8"?

What do you mean by "after the holiday"? Does that mean today?
