Smile My Wife Liked To Call Police For Jealousy
my wife called the police many times in our 11 year marrage. I have never put my hands on her in an inaproriate way, she will even tell you that. In times past she thought that I was cheating on her so someine told her to call the police and have me arrested for domestic violence. There were never any bruises or anything to show violence other than she just said she was scared. The first time it happened I plead guilty because I could not afford the lawyer and wanted to move on with our marrage. Another time I knew the prosecuter and he dropped the charges to disorderly conduct so I pleaded guilty to move on. The last time she didn't show up so they dropped the charges. We are doing fine and I hope she never calls the police again if and when we argue (there is no reason to other than she has hit me) and I want to know if I can change my plea after the fact on the first dv. Since I have other charges on my record I can't have it expunged but have had problems getting jobs because of this. can you help

Probably not.

It is really hard to take back a guilty admission. You would need a very good attorney.

And tell your wife to stop wasting tax dollars every time you two are in a snit. What if SHE was waiting for the police to show up when something really bad was happening and they were late because they had to arrest your neighbor because his wife found lipstick on his collar?

The problem with females calling the police and saying that they were victims of domestic violence is that the officers called to the scene have no idea if they female is telling the truth or not, so they just assume that the female is the victim. Hard to come back from that if you are a man being accused.
