Keeping a Criminal Record Private

When I fill out an application, it asks, have you ever been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor. I say no, because i haven't. So will this charge, which was dismissed, show up the rest of my life? Do I have any options of getting this thing off of my record?

You have already posted a thread on the topic of Indiana's expungement law.

I don't know if Indiana maintains arrest records as part of a general criminal history - I would assume that they do. You can order your record to see what it contains. Criminal records are usually maintained on an indefinite basis.
