Default Student Dating A Coach At School

Lets say there was a 17 year old high school cheerleader dating a 26 year old high school football coach at the same school... if this were to leak out what would the consequences be... other than maybe a nice spot on local and national news?

That changes nothing. Depending on the state he might go to jail. Who cares who his brother is the School district (maybe city council or school board) would fire him

It sounds like you are a bitter ex-boyfriend of the girl or a bitter ex-girlfriend of the coach. You have a right to be bitter! If you want to get them in trouble you better make sure your evidence is good hard evidence and not hearsay. You may wish to talk to a good family friend (of yours) who is also an attorney. No one wants to be responsible for taking down a good coach (good meaning winning record) and many attorneys are friends with the coach...and though they should not they may approach the coach.

If the allegations are made and there is ANY substance to them (reporters do first investigate and sometimes call) the coach would lose his job EVEN IF he was found innocent in a court of law.

If the allegations are false then the person releasing the information would face civil and possibly criminal charges. In addition, if the person releasing the info is under 18 the parents may be liable for the actions of the minor child IF they supported them or knew about them.

The brother could deny that he knew (and hope there is not a picture of the 3 of them or 4 of them, the 3 included) having dinner or lunch. There is a reason that teachers eat lunch in the lounge and not with students one-on-one. Sometimes we would eat with our coach, but it was usually game day or match day. Cheerleaders would eat with the cheerleading coach (always female at my schools). Sometimes the chearleaders at with the team and the football coach.
