Default Finding An Out Of State Attorney

I currently reside in Texas but am going through a divorce with child support/custody issues in CA.

My question is this: How can someone like me, who has very little money, find legal assistance in CA to help me with my case? Am I a lost cause? I have been going the self-help route but it is very overwhelming and I don't exactly have a lot of free time to look stuff up and do research.

    Any help would be appreciated.
