Default Assault Class C In Texas
A man was working on my site. He was a subcontractor, I didn't know him. The contractor had a problem that I needed to resolve before this subcontractor started work. I went to the site and asked who was in charge of the gang of men. I asked again louder, and a man asked me if he could help. I asked louder still who was in charge, and he said 'don't shout at me mother******". I lost my cool and took a swipe at him. I called the police and said I didn't want the man on my land, no-one calls me that. The police came, handcuffed me on my land, did not ask the man to leave, instead he told me that the man would stay and finish what he was doing and that I was to leave my own property. He then gave me a Class C Assault ticket. What do I do?

You get anger management, you don't "swipe" at people who aren't swiping at you first (simply using vulgar language isn't enough to justify taking a swing at someone), and you retain the services of a criminal defense attorney.

I really don't see what this poster did wrong though. If some strange guy was on MY land cussing me I might get mad as well
