Default Speeding On Federal Park Land, 51 In A 2

Hello I recently was pulled over in park land near my house for going 51 in a 25.She asked me how fast I was going and i said i dunno 5-10.Well my question is what do you think will come out of this since this is my first offence ever and I'm age 17.I told the cop i was trying to get home because of my dog and i dident see a speed limit sign until a second ago.The cop told my mom i was very polite ect. and this will go stragiht to court since im a minor and its federal land. She also told me the ticket would be for around $150 but that doesent sound right.I really would like to get this bumped down to normal speeding ticket. My mom is taking my liscence besides going to school and work and im taking one of those 8 hour classes. Also will this offence cause me to get dropped by my insurance or anything of that nature.Any comments would be apprecated

    p.s. the state is VA

Ranger* i was stoped by a ranger not a cop if that makes a diff

You said "5 - 10 over"? And your citation is for federal court?

You were speeding at more than twice the speed limit, and confessed to speeding (albeit at a lower rate of speed). With the speed at issue and your age, I suspect you're going to have a harder time than most convincing a prosecutor to reduce the ticket. Reckless driving is a serious offense in Virginia, so it is highly advisable to get help from a lawyer.

well I’m not worried enough to get a lawyer as if I get my license taken then I do but my mom is taking my license till my court date besides work and school, I’m taking that 8 hour class, and I’m a vonteer emt so I’m hoping that ill get a big slap on the wrist and some fines but hopefully not the full extent of the law. The road was a 1 mile road surrounded by 45,55,and a 40 psl roads and its really in the middle of nowhere.
Also my mom knows one of the two judges personally so he may grant me more leniency as he knows what kind of family I come from
