Employer Refuses to Pay Final Paycheck

I live in Florida and work remote. My company in based out of Georgia. I was told my employment would terminate at the end of this month due to finanical issues. My director, and I have it in writing stated he would pay me through the 30th of this month. He called me this morning and told me that he cannot process my final check as he has no funds. What can I do?

About the only thing you can do, particularly in Florida, is to file a civil suit against him for the final wages, always keeping in mind the adage about blood and turnips.
