First Time Drug Offense

my friend and his friend was pulled over don't know the reason why, but now a days do the police need one! anyway he was charged with cds and his bail is set at 20 thousand dollars? my question is as a first timer with a bail so low what would he be looking at as far as jail time if any or fines!! in the state of NJ!
