How Long Does It Take To Clear Your Record

I was charged with shoplifting 12 years ago. I never had a record before of after this incident. Can this record be clear or sealed in the state of Alabama? please help!!

A criminal record is forever! Records dont fall off after a period of time. Now in most cases any convictions as a minor might be sealed once you reach age of majority. Far as sealing or expunging your record consult an Attorney
