I was convicted of forgery and stealing when I was 17. I sorely regret this. That was 19 years ago. My question is where is my record on this? Would it be considered a juvenile offense? I live in Missouri. I did a criminal background check on myself about 3 years ago and it came back clean. I still was not satisfied so I drove to the state capital where the fingerprint check could be done and had myself fingerprinted on their machine and that also came back clean. When I was convicted it was before computers were in wide use, so I am wondering if that is what is going on. I was on probation for 4 years and not to brag but I have such a personality that my PO told me if he ever had a daughter he would want her to be just like me. That is something I will never forget. Anyway I called him and asked him if I had an SES of SIS type of sentence and he said I had one of those (I can't remember ) but that the conviction should be there on my record. This haunts me so badly. I have had numerous background checks done by employers and nothing has ever came up. I am a productive member of society. I am attending university and work at a small law firm. Can you please help?
