Do you know who is behind this? Is there any evidence that it has affected his business? Have you tried to have site administrators remove these posts?

yes i know who is behind it. it is a guy he worked for he hired my husband/ boyfriend 14yrs together so i say husband.he has been tattooing for 21 year and been licensed sine 1995
anyways he hired my husband to tattoo in his shop and to teach the owner how to tattoo, after working for him for a few months he found out that the owner had lied about his artist ability and he was tattooing people without him being there to guide him, plus he was not ready to tattoo yet and my husband told him that and the guy got all offended and lock him out of the shop he could not even get his tattoo equipment out till he went to the police station. my husband did nothing to this guy except do his job and this is what he is getting in return. he is telling people he has hep and he is on drugs and his shops were illegal.( all i can prove are lies) plus he has a vaccine for hep B i know there our other types but he can go get tested and prove he's clean. i have been tested and all clear ex my vaccine for hep shows up.I have asked the to take them down with no replays back they seem not to care.I site even said they did not want to here it and took my message off site saying that they were lying and left there lies up and i said noting bad or lied i wrote what i am writing to you.

You can't do anything within the legal system without involving your husband, as any cause of action is personal to him. As you know who this person is, he could potentially sue for injunctive relief (a court order that tells this person to stop the conduct) or damages (if your husband has suffered damages). It is possible that the allegations rise to the level of defamation per se, although I haven't looked into the details of your state's laws; if that's the case the burden of proof reverses (once you show this person made the statements) and damages are presumed. You can contact some law firms in your area about suing, but as defamation cases tend to involve significant expense and low damages awards you may have difficulty finding a lawyer who will take your case on a contingency (percentage) basis.

yes I know my husband will ( would) have to take the rains if it came to it, thank you. unfortunately we used all our money to open this shop. So I guess were screwed for now. Its just ashame people have to stoop this this level because there feeling are hurt. I just usually take it as a learning experience.
tanks for taken time out of your hard day to read my Babel. at least I now that I do have some sort of case it I want to proceed ( if he wants to).
have a great new year. If something comes of this I will let ya know, if not again thank you for you free advice. It truly is great to see people still care about the little guy!!
