Adjusting Status After Shoplifting

i was arrested for shoplifting and i'm about to go to court. i have a temporary recidence, expires in march but i have to fill up the paper work by december and send it. there is a question about criminal offence and it said you shoul list misdemeanors and also felonies.
mine is a misdemeanor, should i say something about it? is this going to denied the permanent resident card?
