Default Help With Possible Charge
I didn't really know where to post this. Sorry if this is the wrong section.

I don't know what could happen with what has happened in the past few hours and would just like to know.

Here's the story from the start:

a friend of mine is angry at his sisters dad (which i will name Steve for the moment) for something that happened in the past. He grabbed my 16inch chef's blade, ran down to the house with his mum and Steve, threw a brick through the window of Steve's car. Steve ran out screaming "come on boy" so my friend pulled out the knife, Steve kept provoking him saying "come on boy", "you're dead now" and "I'm after you, there's nothing you can do". I got my friend to throw the knife down and told him to go home, i stopped Steve from chasing him by holding him there. My friend then took my car and drove down the street. I stood in front of the car and made him slow down. Long enough for Steve to get off the road.

And that's all i can really remember, had too much adrenaline pumping.

My age is 19, my friends age is 19 and Steve's age is 45+. (just in case age changes things)

A cop saw the whole incident and i would just like to know what charges my friend and i could possibly incur from this stupid accident.

Kind regards,

Martin Ryder.

Default Re: Help With Possible Charge
It's going to depend upon the laws of your state, the charging decision of the prosecutor and perhaps the charge requested by the investigating officer. There are a wide range of charges that could be implicated by this, many of which are felonies, so if your friend believes he will be charged he should consult a criminal defense lawyer.
