Default Getting a Pardon in Texas
In 1996 I was barely 19 years old. I was Convicted 9/20/1996 in Dallas County of 3 felonies(not deffered Adj.) on the same day(Burg Build., Burg Hab., and CC Abuse). Recieved a total of 10 years probation. I have had a flawless probation and have less than one year to go. I now only report once a year via mail. I would like to recieve a pardon for these offenses. I now have a great career, am married, have kids and am leading a pretty nice law abiding life. I am 28 now and would like to get these things off my record through a pardon and subsequent expunction. I have read through the list of things required by Texas to get a pardon. Does anyone know of an Attorney who deals with these matters in Texas? Has Anyone been through this process before? Since I was barely an adult and only had a brief lapse of judgment do I actually have any chance of recieving these things? Thanks in advance for any help for which you are able to provide.

Not to be the fly in the ointment here... but think of how you will feel 20-30 years from now when you still find yourself in a position of having to beg for forgiveness from some stuffed shirt who wasnt even born at the time of the infraction but now uses all technology available to keep you on your knees. Welcome to the real America buddy. Aint like the fairy tale is it.

Default Re: Getting a Pardon in Texas
I made a big mistake buying some less than a gram of coke in 3/24/1995 I was arrested for public intoxication and in the city jail while being book they found the coke on me. I didn't even do none it was a suptid thing because I didn't like it then and now I hate it more then ever - It cost me my job as a firefighter and believe me its still costing me even after 10 years. I went back to school and recieve an Accociates in Social work and a Bachelors in Science. Well I'am coming to find out that no one will hire me accept at the local shipyard . Now after reading this forum I called the Texas Board of Pardons and they are senting me the information which I alreay read on there web site and its interesting to see that a parolee or excon can apply for a pardon but me that I got the deffered for 5 years probation and 5k fine can't.
So would like to see a topic on order of nondisclosue for Texas. Thanks Dan
