Default Is My Dad Being Neglected

My dad has had brain surgery 3 times now in the last year 1 time being in the last month Oct 07. His wife (not my mother) of only 2 years dont seem to care much about him. He has seizures (spelled wrong??) and he falls and hits the floor and she lets him lay there while having his seizure until he is able to get up. It was 20 minutes the last time. They come home from the doctor and he was hurting and couldnt get out of the car so she left him in the car in the garage for who knows how long. Could something be done about this? We feel like she is just waiting on him to die so she can collect. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

I would contact the bureaucrats in the county where pa lives who are charged with protecting old folks.

Georgia's Department of Human Resources says,
Quote Quoting Elder Abuse & Prevention
Elder Abuse and Prevention provides services to identify, prevent and treat elder abuse, neglect and exploitation. Elder abuse is one of the most unrecognized and under-reported crimes. Many abuse victims don't realize it, don't know what to do about it or are too afraid to report their abuse or neglect.

    Program goals are to
    • Heighten awareness of abuse of older individuals in community settings
    • Provide or facilitate access to programs and services for victims

Each of Georgia’s twelve 12 Area Agencies on Aging (AAA) has an Elder Abuse and Prevention program. Contact your local AAA for more information.
